Sharing the City - CIVITAS Forum 2015

New SUTP publication on „Urban Mobility Plans“ launched

Urban Mobility PlansThe latest SUTP technical document “Urban Mobility Plans – National Approaches and Local Practice” has been launched. The document reviews approaches for Urban Mobility Plans (UMP) from various countries and showcases a growing number of examples calling for a shift away from the traditional, infrastructure-oriented approach towards sustainable and people-oriented planning.

Turning around climate issues linked to urban transport, the debates and presentations will make the conference a milestone on the way to COP21 in Paris in December 2015.

Sustainable Urban Mobility in Developing Countries

image001In partnership with the GIZ, UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research) is launching a new session of the e-learning course Sustainable Urban Mobility in Developing Countries, starting in two weeks. This course aims to enhance the capacity of local decision-makers and urban and transportation planners to formulate and implement appropriate policies that contribute to sustainability in urban transport in developing countries.

giz Capsut Logo 140805Actualmente 300 capacitaciones, cursos virtuales, conferencias y seminarios de formación en línea en transporte urbano sostenible están disponibles en – una plataforma internacional dedicada a promover la formación en transporte urbano sostenible.
Los cursos pueden ser buscados en base a su tipo, tema, lenguaje, la región en la cual ellos son llevados a cabo así como sus fechas. Adicionalmente, cursos en transporte urbano ahora pueden ser cargados en la página web directamente por los proveedores del mismo. Cargar cursos en es fácil y no requiere ningún tipo de inscripción. Solo se debe proveer la información relevante en la sección “Upload course” para añadir el curso al calendario.
