For people in the Stuttgart region, VVS Transit and Tariff Association Stuttgart (Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund Stuttgart, VVS) offers integrated and sustainable mobility. Together with its partners, it is contributing significantly to maintaining and improving mobility in the metropolitan Stuttgart area. The region served comprises not only the state capital of Stuttgart, but also its four neighbouring districts Böblingen, Esslingen, Ludwigsburg, and Rems-Murr-Kreis, an area of just over 3,000 square miles and a population of 2.4 million.

The Global Road Safety Partnership is dedicated to the sustainable reduction of road-crash death and injury in low- and middle-income countries. These countries suffer 90 per cent of the 1.3 million annual deaths and 50 million serious injuries that result from road crashes. GRSP is hosted by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies and brings together partners from business, governments and civil society to work together to improve road safety.

For over 130 years, being mobile in Stuttgart has meant using SSB. 365 days a year. From early morning till past midnight. More than 400 buses and light rail vehicles are in daily use, operated by around 2,600 employees. Almost 890,000 people live in our transport area. We offer 70 SSB lines with a total length of over 850 kilometers. Although numbers do not tell the full story of our company, they make clear the importance of SSB. We are one of the largest and most modern public transport operators in Germany. For our achievements in offering a customer-friendly, integrated service we have received a number of awards in the last few years.

Porsche

Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, with headquarters in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, is the world's most successful sports car manufacturer. The company traces its origins back to an automotive design office in Stuttgart founded by Ferdinand Porsche in 1931. In 2013, Porsche delivered more than 162,145 vehicles of the 911, Cayenne, Panamera, Boxster and Cayman models to customers worldwide. That was 15 percent more than in 2012. The sports car manufacturer's 2013 operating profit amounted to 2.58 billion euros, up 6 percent from the previous year's figure of 2.43 billion euros. This makes Porsche one of the most profitable carmakers in the world.
